The SDG 6 Data Portal brings together data on all the SDG 6 global indicators, as well as other key social, economic and environmental data. For a description of the different indicators, please see the indicator selection panes in the maps, charts and tables sections of the portal, where each indicator has an information symbol next to it.

Most of the SDG 6 data are coming from countries themselves, compiled and verified by the responsible United Nations organizations, and sometimes complemented by data from other sources. Below you find a list of the different types of data included in the portal, and the global data source, which can be referred to for more information about indicator-specific data sources and data collection and validation processes.
