SDG target 6.b is: ‘Support and strengthen the participation of local communities in improving water and sanitation management.’
To track progress towards the target, indicator 6.b.1 monitors the participation of local communities in water and sanitation management within a country, by looking at the existence of procedures in law or policy for participation, as well as the actual level of participation.
